Kentucky beats Tennessee

Matt and I stayed in Ashland until late Friday evening, watching Elf and eating Sally's yummy chex mix.

Nanny and Poppy graciously told us they'd watch our crazy boys for the UK/TN game the next day, so we wanted to hang out as long as possible.
We were originally going to get up really early Saturday, and drive into Lexington, but we agreed that it would be a lot easier all around, and especially on the boys to leave that evening. That way we wouldn't wake up with them and say "See ya!" Normally, I actually think that would have been fine but Rhetter man is a stage 5 clinger right now. Won't let his Mama leave the room if he knows she's near. :)

So we headed out around 10, and got home around midnight. Packed up our coolers and went to bed.
We were up bright and early the next morning, ready for the game!
My friend Kara and her husband Kevin were the ones that shared their tickets with us, we were so excited to get to hang out! It also turned out that Amy and Tim, and all the kids were going too, and they have a friend that just bought an RV to tailgate in...um talk about fun!!!

On our way to pick up Kara and Kevin!
So, when we get there, it is a full blown set up! Food, drinks, passing football, corn hole, and not to mention an awesome RV! Not too long after we got there, we heard word that The Turtleman was tailgating in the RV Park.
So...of course we headed out for our own search of the Turtleman!

Then he picked every one up for pictures lol! He was hilarious, and very nice.
He told someone he was the poorest famous person you'll ever meet! Lol!

So after the Turtleman adventure, it was Game Time so we headed in to our seats!

We had great seats thanks to someone from Kara's work,
and...
WE WON!!!

SO MUCH FUN!

We went back to the RV to celebrate, and met up with The Turtleman one more time before we left, ha!

Oh man, we had such a fun day, tailgating with friends and family. We were SO happy that the one game we were able to make this season was such a huge game, and that we were a part of history!

After the game, Matt and I went to Saul Good for dinner. So fun to be able to eat dinner alone with him! Then we had some friends over that evening, and ended up going to a Piano bar for a little while.

So thankful for the opportunity to go to the game, and thankful for Nanny & Poppy for watching our sweet boys so we could have some time to ourselves for the weekend.
Checking on them, Nanny told us the boys did great and were having a lot of fun. We picked them up on Sunday, a rainy yucky day, but that evening we put up our Christmas tree.
What a great ending to a wonderful weekend!
