Our Little Baseball Lover!

Matt bought Case a little T-Ball set at Wal-Mart, and we couldn't WAIT for our little baseball lover to try it out! He caught right on, and even throws his bat on the ground after hitting it, takes off running, then slides face first while we yell "Safe!"

Our New Favorite Thing...

...is to jump off of the couches and ottoman into a big pile of pillows!

Helping Daddy Mow The Lawn!

Just so you know, Daddy was finished mowing by the time he let little man come out and "help", but Case sure felt like a big boy!

Move Baby Move

At our Doctor's appointment on June 7, my nurse asked me if I had started to feel the baby, and I said "Yes, but not everyday" she had told me that this was normal, and that soon I'd start to feel the movements more often.

Well she was right! I forgot so quickly when and how often I started to feel movements with Case, I think I wrote the date down of the first time I felt a flutter, but you forget when they start to really move and twist inside of you...plus with the second pregnancy they say you feel them sooner than with your first.

As I'm typing this, baby is moving around like crazy! It's still a subtle movement...not like the ones that will come in the next few months where you can see an elbow or foot move across your belly...but it is definitely unmistakable now.

Oh how I have missed the feeling of a baby safe and sound inside my belly, moving, twisting, kicking, swimming. It is absolutely amazing...simply indescribable.

Love love love it.

Baby # 2 Updates!

Well baby number two is making more of an appearance these days.

My belly has definitely popped out and I think I'm almost out of that weird stage where you know people are thinking..."I wonder if she's pregnant...but it's not noticeable enough to ask..." I did have a friend of Amy's ask me at church a couple of weekends ago, she said she saw me rubbing my belly so she knew it was safe to ask, she also said that when she saw me at the ball park she noticed I wasn't as little as I always was. HA!

Well we had a Doctor's appointment yesterday! (June 7) I got to take Case man and Avery Grace with me (I'm watching Avery this week because her boys have baseball camp) I was so excited that they got to come with me to hear the baby's heartbeat! I ended up being SO happy that Avery was with me because if she wasn't there to help me entertain little man I probably would have gone insane. We had to wait literally 20 minutes (20 minutes = an entire eternity when you have a 20 month old trying to open all the drawers including the ones that say "Bio hazard" and running around like a crazy person)

So...finally we hear the knock, and Dr. Youkilis comes in, he was so sweet with Case, tickling him and making him laugh. He told me Case could sit on my lap while we listened to the heartbeat, and Avery got to sit very close and we all lit up when we heard that precious sound. Case kept looking at me and smiling :) Dr. Youkilis told me the heartbeat was 150 which was normal and great.

Then he told me he wanted to wait and have our 20 week screening (ultrasound) in 5 weeks instead of 4 (he said the baby's heart would be a little bigger and easier to measure then...
Me: "Ohhh my gosh, are you serious, you are killing me! We are dying to find out what this baby is!"
Dr: "Okay, well you are skinny so it should be fine, we'll compromise and do 4 1/2 weeks"
"Okay that works"
(and um thanks for the skinny word!)
:)

They ended up scheduling it for 5 1/2 weeks at the desk instead of 4 1/2 weeks, and we didn't realize it until that night, so I called first thing this morning and got it fixed...I am so impatient with finding this out!
So...if baby boy or girl cooperates on July 8th, we might be able to announce that we know which one it is!!!
(I might just have to have my first Starbucks of this pregnancy to make sure he/she is up and at 'em)
:)

I love Summer!

Summer is my favorite.

What's been going on:
Matt turned 28, he is so funny, he kept asking me how old he was turning, he kept forgetting. We spent the night in Ashland for his birthday, the visit was too short for us but we needed to get back for him to work the lights at church. (They are training someone new so hopefully he'll get some weekends off soon!) :)

We had so much fun at Nanny and Poppy's, even on such a short trip, and we got to see all the fun things Case got to do when they watched him the weekend before!

For his actual birthday on Wednesday, I got up early and cooked him bacon, eggs and biscuits, then made Chicken Lasagna for dinner (with salad and bread sticks) and made him brownies for desert. I figured cooking would be the best present of all since I've been absent in the kitchen for quite some time now!

    • The pool has opened and Case and I are taking full advantage! I got to hang out with Cy, Griffin and Avery all day last Friday and we went to Southland pool (the big one in town with fountains, a slide the whole thing) Case was a little overwhelmed but I think he'll get used to it! The big kids love it there! So much fun! He is loving our little neighborhood pool, it's teeny and his favorite thing is to climb in and out and in and out. :)

    • Case experienced his first Legends Game!
Matt and I were sitting around one night, and I was browsing the internet trying to think of something fun to do with Case man, and then I remembered our Lexington Legends Baseball Team! It's such a fun environment, very family friendly so we had planned to go in a couple of weekends. Well, then I find out from my sister that Avery is going to be announced with the players that Friday with her T-Ball Team and they could get us tickets and we could sit with Amy and the boys and everyone, so that's what we did! It was a little stressful keeping a 20 month old contained in a teeny area for so long, but he finally figured out his limits within the seats and we all ended up having so much fun!

    +
Oh, have I mentioned that Case L-O-V-E-S baseball? He is now throwing the ball, and when waiting for you to throw it back to him he gets into batting position. :)

    • My niece Avery turned 7 this month! We were double booked for cookouts for Miss Avery's birthday and my friend Kara's house warming party. So, we hopped parties but I wish we could have been at both parties the entire time! I'm so sad I missed out on Avery's birthday party, from what I heard though she had a blast and squealed when opening all of her presents! The next day was her Ballet Recital! I LOVE her recitals I look forward to them every year. It's so amazing to see how much she has grown each year...she looked like such a grown up this time...and absolutely gorgeous.
That evening Mamaw and Papaw drove up to visit, they hung out with the boys while I went to Avery's recital toddler free (thank goodness!) and then we met for dinner at Logan's. (Yum!) Case turned on his charm and was saying "Hi" and "Bye" to everyone that passed by, there was even a sweet lady in a electronic wheelchair that insisted she took him on a ride! It was priceless and Case was grinning ear to ear! It was so good to see Mamaw and Papaw, we laughed all through dinner at our little comedian.  :)
    • and...of course Summer means Popsicles
(and then you can catch some really great faces and pictures) :)

Matt and I are absolutely LOVING watching our little man soak everything in this summer, he's getting SO big.
