Subtle vs Not So Subtle

So our 3 year old is one sneaky little ninja.

He very quietly will sneak into our bed at night,
and Matt and I are completely unaware of his presence.

He has his little tricks.
I found this out, as I was up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night,
and saw him walk in one night.
So I decided to watch.
He opens our door, and doesn't close it.
He walks veeeerrry sloooowly to the foot of our bed.
In literal slow motion, he climbs up,
Matt moved around a little bit,
and he FROZE and dropped down.
(It was hilarious)
then he waits...and tries again.
Then he crawls over the blankets, like a lion hunting prey,
then snuggles down into the blankets and lays his head down on a pillow.
Cracks me up.

...AND then there's our 5 year old.

Kid is not subtle.

I can hear their door shut, him stumble/stomp all the way down the hall way.
He opens and shuts our door.
(As if nobody was sleeping, and it wasn't 3 in the morning)
stomps right over to me, inches from my face,
and in a completely normal voice,
(he doesn't believe in soft voices at 3am apparently)
and says,
"MOMMY? I need a tissue."
or
"MOMMY! I had a bad dream"
or whatever it might be.

Thankfully the not so subtle kid very rarely wakes up,
as he is a sleeper like his Daddy.
Kid falls asleep in literally seconds, something I will always envy about them!

Rhett is like his Mommy, takes him a while to settle down,
and is a very light sleeper.

Thankfully we've been working on this habit for the last few weeks,
started thinking it might be time,
as I will up with a tiny hungry newborn all night soon,
and we need the boys to sleep in their own beds.

34 week check up

It was a very quick appointment this morning!

I dropped the boys off at preschool this morning,
and headed to the hospital. My appointment was at 9:45am, I arrived a little early,
and was back in my car by 10am!

Dr. Y didn't have a student with him this time,
so I was curious to see how I measured!
I was 36 cm, which means 2 weeks ahead!

I am getting SO curious to see when Adley will make her appearance!
Everyone I talk to about it thinks she'll be here early,
with my measurements I am starting to think the same!

Matt thinks I'll be very early like 2-3 weeks early.
Ahh!

I still have some things to check off my to do list before she arrives!!! ;)
I'm banking on at least 5 more weeks!

My Doctor has also been joking that she'll be 8 lbs 15 oz, to keep with the trend.
Case was 6 lbs 15 oz, and Rhett was 7 lbs 15 oz.
Call me crazy, but I'd be just fine if she wasn't 1 oz away from NINE POUNDS oh my!
(Of course you know, we just want a healthy baby)

It's so fun to make guesses, it will be fun to look back on when she arrives,
and see how close we were!

Getting soooo close!
Can't believe in 2 weeks, he will begin to check me, and I have a check up every single week.
Oh my goodness.

I need a dust ruffle and curtains for her room STAT! ;)

Spring T-Ball Season has started!

After having to cancel a few practices due to the NEVER ENDING WINTER,
We were all excited about warmer practices and our first game of the season!

Here's a practice, that turned into a scrimmage with another team!
So much fun.

and finally, our first game of the season!
GO RED SOX!

...please excuse the blurry, phone pictures, we were in a rush to get to the field on time as we were meeting Daddy at the ball park!

Love these boys!
Love being back at the ball park!

32 Week Check Up

I couldn't wait to ask him
about this whole measuring ONE MONTH ahead thing.

He had a student with him this time though,
not to mention the office was SUPER busy.
He lets the students lead the appointment,
so that, and the fact that I had on jeans that seemed hard to measure my belly in,
had a lot to do with the fact that she measured me very quickly, and blurted out that I was measuring at 32.

I was skeptical of this, as obviously I was measuring way ahead just 2 weeks ago. Hmm.
{My sister and I talked about it, and wondered if she just panicked and said the # of weeks I am.
(since that is usually how you should measure up)}

I asked him briefly,
"So I'm measuring back on track?"
and he said "Oh looks like it, back on track."

That was about it.

Boo.

Well, I'll see him again in 2 weeks!
