Halloween!

Let me first say,
I have been feeling preeeettty miserable,
baby #3 is definitely making it's teeny tiny little appearance known.
No doubt about it, I feel pregnant.

Thankfully after making a call to my Doctor,
he prescribed me Zofran,
which helps with nausea.
It has helped a lot,
I could literally tell if I was 15-20 min late taking the next dose!

So with all of this morning sickness,
anything that was coming up on our calendar had me a little nervous
about how I was going to feel.

Thankfully I felt pretty good for Halloween festivities!
which was actually moved to November 1st this year due to a stormy forecast on the 31st.

However I must say,
it's a pretty cruel thing to not be able to stomach anything sweet or chocolate this pregnancy, ESPECIALLY around Halloween! Whatever! ;)
(Literally ate a handful of m&ms one day,
felt nauseous for an hour or so, then they all came back up, blah!)

Anyway,
on to the cute Halloween pictures!

Rhett was very intrigued with his cousin Avery's face paint!

Monkey man would be my husband.
The same man who walked into the house like this, while I had my back to him getting the boys costumes and clothes together...freaked me out!!

He ran by Kroger on the way home, and said it was on super sale,
he is crazy!

I mean, honestly we couldn't take him seriously the entire night.
Ha!

The sweet Anderson girls!

Cute Ely and his sweet Momma!

Here's the Marshall crew, plus Cy's adorable girlfriend Lucy!

They dressed as each other for Halloween!
They were hilarious, and um, cutest couple ever!

The Rhetter man got a little tired, we made it our usual route,
which isn't very long yet. I have a feeling it will get longer and longer the bigger the boys get. ;)

So much fun,
and the boys ate way too much candy.
...and also way too interested in candy to take another picture. :)

...and baby in my belly still doesn't like chocolate, which is seriously just WRONG!!!
We're going to have a talk about this when baby arrives. :)

Love making these memories,
hope everyone had a great Halloween this year!

Sweet Baby

According to all the dates, and calculations,
we were all set for June 5,2014 as baby's due date!

Which was so exciting, as we have lots of June babies in our family!
Daddy is June 2, my big brother Ryan is June 8, my big sister Amy is June 17,
and Amy's daughter Avery is June 6th, just a day away from expected date!

We joked a lot about how close the due date was to Avery's birthday,
if you know Amy and I, you know we are freakishly alike,
so many random little things in our lives, but the big things too,
like we both got married at 20, have 2 boys right around 2 years apart, and as you know,
she had a daughter next.
So the bets around the family is that I'll have a girl just like her,
especially with the due date being ridiculously close to her daughter's birthday!
Too funny!

Well, after weeks of pretty vicious morning sickness,
(more like all day, and especially evening sickness)
SO very nauseous, and if I was lucky I would get sick and get a little relief.
Completely exhausted, achy, a constant horrible taste in my mouth,
first trimesters are loads of fun! Ha!
So, I was excited for a Doctor's appointment,
to at least get to see that sweet baby in my belly
that was making me so miserable. ;)

I've said it before, but there is just something about seeing that baby,
and getting real confirmation from a Doctor to help it feel a little more real.
Matt took off work and met me at the hospital,
after I dropped the boys off at Mommom & Grand-dad's house.

We had the ultrasound first, and then were supposed to head over to my Doctor.
I forgot about the fact that Matt and I have new insurance,
as he got a new job this year, so we had to go to the business office first.
We had to wait FOREVER as they had to contact our insurance,
and as I'm sure you know, that means a lot of being put on hold.
I was so antsy as I was just dying to get into that ultrasound room!
Well about 30-45 minutes later, we finished that all up,
(found out it will be relatively cheaper this go around, thank you insurance!)
and walked back to the ultrasound room...

The technician was SO sweet,
even came to check on us while we were waiting in the business office.
It makes such a difference when they are so loving.
Well a few minutes later,
we saw a wiggly, healthy baby on that screen!

I swear I could have sat in that ultrasound room all day and watched that baby wiggle around.
It's one of the most precious things on this earth.

Baby had a strong heart beat, 176 I believe, and we got a few pictures printed out.
Then it was off to my Doctors office for the bag full of prenatal samples and coupons.
Doctor Youkilis was so congratulatory and sweet.
He asked me about due dates, and we mentioned according to due date it was June 5th.

"How about your cycles, are they normal?"
"Well, they are little bit off, I think the average is about 30-31 days"
"Hmm, that makes it June 9th, as a due date..."
"What?? Nooo, I like June 5th better, ha!"
"Well, hang on, I was going to say how about June 2, that's what your ultrasound was measuring..."
"Ohh yeah I like that one! That's Daddy's birthday too!"
The PA Student in the room: "Due date, June 2nd, per patient request!"

LOL!

I had to write that conversation down, they were cracking up at me,
but you better believe after finding out extremely early I wasn't going to go back a few days without a fight, thankful that ultrasound was measuring a little bigger, because that bumped me up to 9 weeks!
Ha! But seriously, we know due dates are just a guess,
babies come will come out when they are ready. :)
(Remind me of this, as I was very impatient with the Rhetter man!)

So after making the next appointment, and the lab work,
we headed out, staring at our sweet baby the whole time in the elevator.

This was also the day we were going to announce to friends and extended family on Facebook.
We wanted to wait until after the first Doctor's appointment.

Matt headed back to work, and I headed back to my Mom & Dad's to get the boys.
I couldn't wait to show them picture of baby,
and before I left I posted our Announcement picture online.
(Shauna Doty took these for us the week before, we couldn't wait to share the news!)

I ended up taking my rowdy boys to the park near Mom and Dad's that day.
As I was feeling pretty good, and I knew how much they needed to run and play.
Their Momma had been pretty bed or couch ridden lately,
and it was nice to get out and about on a beautiful & exciting day!

Our wonderful visit, rejuvenated me with excitement all over again.
So ecstatic (and a little nervous!) about our growing family!
Sometimes it still doesn't feel real!

GUESS WHAT!

WE ARE EXPECTING BABY #3!!!
HEE!!!

Holy cow!

You might have to move your screen around a little to see that faint line,
this one was taken late Friday, September 20.
The night before Case's 5th birthday party.
It was a little early to take one,
about 7 days too early to take a test.
I had it in my head though, that an early response MIGHT show me IF I was...
WELL...
It DID, and I WAS!
I took a test upstairs, with Matt downstairs watching TV,
honestly thinking nothing would show up,
well I saw that very light, barely there line,
and debated by myself for about 5 minutes if there was actually anything there,
or if my eyes were just making things up.
I came downstairs, and said,
"Matt. Come here, look at this."
He was not convinced, which I guess proved how
convinced I actually was, because I started saying things like,
"What?! How can you not see it?"
"Look! There's a line there, it's faint but it's there!"
"Babe! There wouldn't be ANYTHING there if I wasn't, it's a PH test!"
He said,
"I just don't want to get all excited, in case it's not!"

Sooo we ran upstairs, since I had another test,
and I did what anyone with a big sister would do...
I texted a picture of the test to Amy! :)
Her and her hubby agreed that there was DEFINTELY something there,
and after taking the 2nd test, (after I chugged 2 glasses of water)
and there was another faint line, Matt and I let ourselves really, REALLY believe it.
(Which by the way is just surprising, they tell you to take early tests first thing in the morning,
and not after you drink a lot of water...but that line was still showing up!)

AHH!!!
:)

Matt and I stayed up for HOURS laughing, and talking about how exciting (and sort of scary!) this whole expecting baby number 3 is!

I finally had to take a Benadryl so I could fall asleep!
(After checking to make sure my preggo self could take that, you forget so much!)
After all, we had a big 5th birthday party to celebrate the next day!

So the next morning, before getting ready for the party, I took the last pregnancy test I had,
which happened to be a Clear Blue Digital one.
There is just something about actually reading the words,
"Pregnant" or "Not Pregnant" instead of deciding if you see a line or not.

Well guess what,
after that 3 minute timer stopped flashing on the screen,
we read the undeniable,
"Pregnant"

:)

That morning after the boys were up and going, we sat them down and filmed them,
as we told them our big news!

Cracks me up, especially Case's "Not yeeet!" Sorry buddy!
Rhett was pretty interested in finishing his milk before talking about it. ;)
Also, if you look at Rhett's fingers, he's imitating me showing them how itty bity baby is, ha!

A lot of what Matt and I talked about the night before,
was about whether or not we were going to go ahead and tell everyone,
since we were going to have most of our immediate family over the next day.

Turns out we can't keep our mouths shut,
so we told Case, that he could tell everyone the big news on his big day.
(We wanted to make sure he was a part of it,
and still felt extremely special on his big birthday!)

So as soon as all of the presents were open,
I whispered in Case's ear,
"Okay buddy, you want to tell everyone our big news about baby?"
He didn't miss a beat, and shouted while jumping up and down,

"Mommy has a baby in her belly!!!"

I quickly snapped some pictures of everyone's faces,
I wish I had caught it on tape though!
Love the priceless faces though!

We had a great time celebrating Case's birthday,
and were excited to share the news with everyone!
We called my big brother and his wife, and Roger's daughter's that afternoon!

We are definitely not very good at keeping secrets!

Turns out, we found out VERY early,
I was only 3 weeks and a few days pregnant, when we found out,
baby didn't even look like a tadpole yet!

So even though, this might feel like the longest pregnancy ever,
we are so very excited to start this journey,
and add this precious baby to our family!

Things I Never Want To Forget

The fact that these boys are best friends.
They fight.
They play.
Case loves showing Rhett new things.
Rhett adores his big brother.
Every day when Rhett wakes up from nap, he says "Where Chase?"
(Rhett calls him Chase)
They play in their rooms every morning now before letting us know they are up.
They play together all day long.
They fight over something every day.
They drive each other crazy.
They would not know what to do without each other.
We have entered the "Case is not SHARING!"
"NO MOMMY! Rhett is NOT SHARING" stage.
Yay us! ;)
They wrestle.
They worry about each other.
They watch out for each other.
They are crazy.
They are fun.
They hold our hearts.
They are amazing boys.
