After an amazing experience with Little Blessings Preschool last year,
we were thrilled to sign Case up for another year.
This will be his last year before the big, huge, ENORMOUS jump into kindergarten.
(Can you tell I might still be in shock?)
We went back and forth about what to do with the Rhetter man.
After a late summer text from Ms. Jennifer,
curious about our decision,
Matt and I decided that yes, we would send Rhett this year, but for only one day a week.
Um, Hi Mommy break.
So it was getting closer to the school year,
we had a vacation coming up at the end of August,
and at that point, I had planned to be their full time sub,
and the boys were getting excited about starting school soon.
Until Jennifer asked me if I would be interested in working on Tuesdays.
Hmmm.
At first I said something like,
"Eek! That's the day we were sending Rhett,
and to be honest I was really looking forward to that small break in the week."
To which she responded something like this,
"How about you work Tuesdays, and Rhett can come on Thursdays too!"
Um. Are you serious?
I couldn't pick the phone up quick enough to call Matt,
I was so excited.
How can you turn that down?
I get to work with sweet kiddos again, my kids get to go to preschool,
Rhett getting to go 2 days a week now, and I still get a break?
I think yes.
So I came in and helped with the few weeks before school started,
I mentioned I could help with art, etc.,
and it didn't take long before I had a lot of projects to work on! :)
Which just lifted my soul, I love having art projects.
So after a few days of this,
Jennifer mentioned a few kids that had recently paid tuition,
raising the numbers.
"Hey Liz, would you want to work both days?"
Hmm.
Now I forgot to mention they started an optional day this year,
a Wednesday 9-12 for an additional cost upon monthly tuition for those interested.
I think she could see the "but my Mommy break..." question running through my brain,
and she quickly said,
"How about Case and Rhett both come Tuesdays & Thursdays, and you can drop them every Wednesday, I want to make sure you get that break!"
It took my a couple of days to think about it,
not sure why now, because after deciding to accept the job,
I couldn't be happier!
I will be the Assistant Teacher in the 3 yr old room,
(Rhett's in the 2 yr old room, and Case is in Pre K,
it's perfect!)
Have I mentioned that I love the entire staff at Little Blessings?
(Jennifer, Susan, Bonny, Jamey & Melissa)
There are 3 classes this year, and the numbers from last year have practically doubled in size.
Every single teacher that works there loves their job.
They love those kids.
They take so much time and effort to plan out their lesson plans,
I love love love being a part of this team! So much. SO so much.
Excited for a fun year!
& of course the mandatory
First Day of Preschool pictures...
