37 Week Check Up

I had my 37 week check up yesterday,
My Doctor was apparently double booked all this week,
so I was worried about how long it would take in the office, but wasn't too bad thankfully.

I always look forward to the last month of weekly appointments,
it's one step closer to meeting our baby,
and it's so exciting to see if I've progressed any.

I have been having braxton hicks, that were getting pretty intense,
so I had a feeling I would be further along.

I have also come down with another sinus infection,
so I was anxious to ask him about that as well.
Can't push out a baby, not being able to breathe through your nose!!! ;)

Well, we discussed some medication I could take for my sinus infection,
then I told him about my contractions.
To which he replied, "Hmm, I'm guessing you're 3cm then."
Before checking me he asked if I would like my membranes stripped,
it was like a gut reaction response, "Um yeah!"

I was afraid it would hurt, but he assured me to just tell him to stop if I was too uncomfortable.
It wasn't too bad, besides the fact I thought I was literally going to pee on him.
Which I told him, and he laughed and said "Please don't" Ha!
It was just so much pressure.
Oh and I was 3 cm, and 70% effaced.
Progress!

He told me I would spot for a day or two, and told me he'd probably see me in a week.

Ahhh!!

Sooo, it was also a full moon yesterday, I was trying to not get too excited,
but I couldn't help to think we might see some serious action that evening,
and that we might be meeting our little girl very soon.
However, besides some serious cramping
(Like worst menstrual cramping ever, for HOURS)
I wasn't having contractions.
I think I had a hand full of tightening, painful braxton hicks throughout the entire day and night,
and they were an hour or more apart.
I do believe she has dropped lower though.
All day with the cramping, I felt like she was literally burrowing down inside of me.
That evening my stomach looked like a completely different shape to me,
and my belly button seemed much lower to me than it had been.
Matt agreed, that it looked different and lower.

Well Matt and I stayed up late watching TV,
and then I finally settled down into bed and fell asleep.

I'm starting to loathe bedtime, as I can hardly sleep.
Between heartburn, a huge belly, not being able to breathe, or having to get up to pee multiple times a night,
it's just not much fun. I dread it every day.
I also am convinced God knows that Adley will be up around 3:30-4:00 am every morning,
because I wake up like clock work right around this time. EVERY DAY.
Body must be getting ready for it.

I woke up with one painful contraction, and then nothing else.
I was a little crampy again in the morning getting ready to work at preschool,
and besides just normal aches and pains, haven't had any action AT ALL today.

After reading more about stripping membranes,
it sounds like it will only work if your body is ready,
so apparently Miss thing is still content. :)

I have my friend's wedding this Saturday, and my Sprinkle with family and a few friends this Sunday.
Wondering if I'll be making them! I hope so!

It will drive you crazy, this not knowing! ;)

I'm hoping she either comes very soon, or waits until after Case's preschool graduation next Thursday,
I would hate to miss that!
We all know a baby decides when it's time to come though,
and I'm going to try very hard to be patient!

Hee!! She will be here before we know it though, can't believe how fast this last month is flying!
Love you so much already Adley Kate, we can't wait to see your sweet face and snuggle you.

Adley's Nursery

It was so fun coming up with ideas for a baby girl nursery this time!

Originally we were going to go with pale pink and cream.
Maybe some sort of stencil,
but when it came down to it,
I decided I wanted to use my Granny's large floral prints.
Not long after, I found a pale bluish gray paint color that I loved, and went from there.

I painted two coats of the gray, along with repainting the half bath the same color.
I painted the trim with a fresh coat of white,
then the crib went up, and it was sinking in!

Over the weeks of my third trimester,
things slowly started to come together.

I love sitting in her room now, folding teeny baby clothes,
rocking in the rocking chair, and imagining holding her in my arms.

Not long sweet baby!

36 Week Check Up

Woo hoo!
Hello ninth, and final month of pregnancy!
(Oh man, when I just typed that, it made me kind of sad!)

This begins my weekly appointments,
getting so excited to meet this little lady.

I dropped the boys off at preschool this morning and headed to my appointment.
I was called back, and was given another "goodie bag"
along with all the paper work about when to call, parking, etc. etc.
I for some reason wasn't expecting all of this,
and it really hit me that we are actually THAT CLOSE to having a baby!

This appointment included the Group B test,
and the beginning of internal exams.

Before the exam,
I made sure to tell him I was spotting Sunday morning,
(nothing crazy, and no contractions or anything)
that I was having sharp pains down into my legs,
and that my tail bone has been aching.
(Rhett broke my tail bone as I delivered him)

To which he responded,
"You are going to be dilated."
 "Do you think so??"
 "I'm guessing 2"

Well guess what, I am 2 cm dilated and 60% effaced!
"Pretty good guess, huh?"
"Yes!"

He joked again that this baby is going to be 8 lbs 15 oz,
to keep with the trend.
(Case was 6lbs 15 oz, and Rhett was 7 lbs 15 oz)
I asked him if he really thought she was going to be 9 lbs,
as I was a little bit worried about delivering a 9 lb baby!
He smiled and said he didn't think she was that big.

I also asked him to take a guess at when she'll be here,
"Hmmm 11 days. That would be, let's see, the 18th"
"That's my baby shower at my sister's house.. ha!"
"Oh wait, that's my daughter's graduation, okay 12 days!"

Oh lordy.
 Lol!

Of course we know only God knows when our daughter will make her grand entry into the world,
but it's so hard not to obsess about when we think she'll be here!

Oh, and I'm measuring 3 weeks ahead, I'm measuring 39 weeks.

Matt gives me a week or two.
We shall see!!!

34 week check up

It was a very quick appointment this morning!

I dropped the boys off at preschool this morning,
and headed to the hospital. My appointment was at 9:45am, I arrived a little early,
and was back in my car by 10am!

Dr. Y didn't have a student with him this time,
so I was curious to see how I measured!
I was 36 cm, which means 2 weeks ahead!

I am getting SO curious to see when Adley will make her appearance!
Everyone I talk to about it thinks she'll be here early,
with my measurements I am starting to think the same!

Matt thinks I'll be very early like 2-3 weeks early.
Ahh!

I still have some things to check off my to do list before she arrives!!! ;)
I'm banking on at least 5 more weeks!

My Doctor has also been joking that she'll be 8 lbs 15 oz, to keep with the trend.
Case was 6 lbs 15 oz, and Rhett was 7 lbs 15 oz.
Call me crazy, but I'd be just fine if she wasn't 1 oz away from NINE POUNDS oh my!
(Of course you know, we just want a healthy baby)

It's so fun to make guesses, it will be fun to look back on when she arrives,
and see how close we were!

Getting soooo close!
Can't believe in 2 weeks, he will begin to check me, and I have a check up every single week.
Oh my goodness.

I need a dust ruffle and curtains for her room STAT! ;)

32 Week Check Up

I couldn't wait to ask him
about this whole measuring ONE MONTH ahead thing.

He had a student with him this time though,
not to mention the office was SUPER busy.
He lets the students lead the appointment,
so that, and the fact that I had on jeans that seemed hard to measure my belly in,
had a lot to do with the fact that she measured me very quickly, and blurted out that I was measuring at 32.

I was skeptical of this, as obviously I was measuring way ahead just 2 weeks ago. Hmm.
{My sister and I talked about it, and wondered if she just panicked and said the # of weeks I am.
(since that is usually how you should measure up)}

I asked him briefly,
"So I'm measuring back on track?"
and he said "Oh looks like it, back on track."

That was about it.

Boo.

Well, I'll see him again in 2 weeks!

Growing belly!

28 Weeks, with a cute 5 year old photo bomber. :)

Here's the Rhetter man using my belly as a mountain for his cars.

2 days shy of 30 weeks, she's definitely growing!

I had my 30 week check up on March 26th,
after my Doctor measured me, he said,
"I think this is going to be your biggest baby yet!"
"What? Why?" I asked
"Because you are measuring 4 weeks ahead, you are measuring at 34 weeks!"
"FOUR WEEKS AHEAD?!"

Whaaat?
That is an entire month ahead.
I was too shocked to ask if he thought she would just be humongous or come out early,
couldn't wait to ask him at my next appointment!

Home stretch baby.
Home stretch.

Ultrasound Pictures

These sweet pictures have been up on our fridge,
I love glancing at them throughout the day,
it's been a whole new experience this time around.
Still can't believe we are expecting another baby,
and that it's a baby girl!

It's a...

GIRL!!!

We had our Anatomy Scan today,
and were SO excited to find out what this baby was!
After Case was diagnosed with type A flu on Tuesday,
we were a little worried that we would have to reschedule.

So thankful for answered prayers,
Case stayed fever free since Thursday morning,
so as a nurse confirmed,
if fever free for 24 hours he was a okay to get out and about.

SO,
we got to keep our Friday morning ultrasound,
Case man got to go with us, and my sister ended up watching the Rhetter man.

All night long I dreamt it was a boy,
I could see our little boy, with a blue hat on,
we were in the hospital and I had just delivered.
He was a cutie, and we were totally in love.

This morning, while drying my hair,
I had a little convo with my belly,
"Alright little baby, what are you? Boy or girl?"

This whole time I definitely didn't have a strong feeling either way,
but every time I was convinced we would have another little baseball player,
there was something in the back of my mind saying that it might be a girl.

After dropping the Rhett man off,
Case and I swung by Starbucks.
I ordered him a box of chocolate milk,
and myself a 1/2 reg 1/2 decaf non fat white chocolate mocha.

Then we headed for our hospital for our appointment.
Daddy was meeting us there.

By this point, I'm not sure if it was my coffee, the sugar,
or my nerves but I was a jumpy jittery hot mess.
We headed to the ultrasound room,
where I was informed I needed to go pick up the a form first from my Doctor's office.
So Case and I headed there, then came back to the ultrasound office.
Left my coffee at the window, so had to go BACK to the Doctor's office.
Came back to ultrasound office.
Daddy texting me "What floor??"
(I accidentally told him the wrong one, because I apparently have blonde roots and can never remember what flipping floor it is. In my defense though it's very confusing if you come in from the parking garage)
Daddy comes in. Tells me he knew it was the 4th floor, not the 3rd. Ha!
Mommy spills coffee.
Mommy is hot and starting to sweat.
Mommy can't stop talking.
Mommy needs to CHILL.
Mommy makes Daddy take coffee.
OH my word.

So she calls us back and I swear I felt like I was about to explode.
I told her Ihaddrankalotofcoffeebutipromiseiwouldhavebeenthishyperevenwithoutcoffeebutididn'tdrinktoomuch
sohopefullybabyisnttoocrazybutjustawakeenoughtotelluswhatheorsheis.

This is when Matt pats my shoulder smiling,
and says "Calm down, baby."
"I know, I know I need to chill! Sorry!"

I'm annoying MYSELF just reading this,
can't imagine how she dealt with me! Ha!

So she measured baby's heart chambers, legs, stomach,
and then says,
"So are you ready to find out what baby is?"
"Yes!"
"It's a baby girl!"
"Are you sure?? Because I have two boys!"
"Yup! Right there, all girl"
"Oh my gosh!!!"

Well, all promises of me being calm go out the window!
I'm laughing, starting to cry, looking at Matt...OH MY WORD!!!
Did she just say it was a girl?!
She and my husband had to remind me to sit still again, so she could finish measuring. :)

Afterward, I hugged her and thanked her over and over again,
and apologized for being a hot mess.
She was sweet, and I was thankful she put up with me!
I felt like a crazy person!

We headed over to see Dr. Y,
he said everything in the ultrasound looked perfect,
all of the measurements looked great.
Congratulated us, laughed at us telling our story of how I was a hot mess,
and told us we'd see him in a month.

NOW TO CALL PEOPLE!
Couldn't wait to share the news,
so so so exciting.

{I do have to say I was a teeny bit sad about losing the idea of 3 crazy boys,
and we loved our boy name we picked out, but soo giddy about adding a precious baby girl to our family!}

Called, texted, posted until my phone was almost dead and I was exhausted.

So thankful for all of the wonderful people in our lives to share our news with.
Now I am ready to paint, decorate, and get ready to meet this precious baby girl!!!
Feels so surreal!

p.s.
95% sure on
Adley Kate Williams
Already so in love with our daughter.
Our daughter.

18 Weeks

Feeling fantastic.

Which is a very VERY welcome change from this rough little ride of a pregnancy!
With the boys I felt 90% better by 10 weeks or so,
so when 11,12,13,14,15 weeks went by and I was still feeling pretty gross,
still getting sick, and still exhausted,
it's safe to say I was pretty OVER IT.
Don't get me wrong, I am of course so thankful for a healthy pregnancy so far,
just so tired of feeling so crummy.

Right around 16-17 though I started to have longer periods of energy during the day,
I have noticed now though that if the boys and I have a day of running around,
the next day I'm usually so sleepy and have no get up and go.

Pushing through though,
and feeling even better at 18 1/2 weeks.

This belly of mine is definitely there now, no doubt about it!
Feeling baby kick, flip and punch daily now, and I am LOVING it!
My favorite part of pregnancy, the absolute best.

8 DAYS until we know what this baby is!
We are going to take the Case man to the ultrasound,
our office allows kids 5 years old and older to be in the room,
he is so excited, and we are so excited that he gets to a part of this!
When we asked him if he'd like to go with us,
the first thing he said was, "But Mommy, who's going to watch Rhett?"
Sweet boy!
(& Thanks Mommom & Grand-Dad for watching Rhetter in advance!)

8 days, 8 DAYS!
Please please go quickly!

16 week Check Up

Always exciting to come upon another appointment!
One step closer to meeting this sweet baby inside of me.

I was pretty excited about this one, because I would be scheduling our 20 week ultrasound this time!!!
(Thanks Mimi for watching boys for my appointment!)

We had originally planned on getting an early gender scan done before Christmas,
but effective December 1st our ultrasound office no longer did the optional gender scan.
Umm. BOO!

Other places around town were double the price,
and we just weren't willing to pay that,
so we decided to be patient.
With just a little moaning and groaning about it on my part. ;)

Dr.Y didn't have a student with him today,
so he found baby's heart beat immediately,
and we got right to talking about our next appointment.
(Baby's heart rate was in 150's nice and strong :)

"So do we know boy or girl yet?"
"Uggh, No!"
"Ha! No huh?"
"I was going to ask you, I will be 20 weeks on a Monday,
wondering if it would be okay if we scheduled it for the Friday before, because Matt can't get off work that week, and we of course want him to be there..."
"Oh yeah, that's no problem at all."
"Yay! We can't wait!"
"You know size wise, it actually might be better if we waited until the week after..."
"Buuuut that would mean we'd have to wait a whole other week before we find out what this baby is..."
"Ha! Oh man, I see how this is going to go! Too funny. That's totally fine."
(continues to laugh at me)
 ;)

I mean, I just literally couldn't wait that long, I'm already dying to know!
So now we are all set up for our Ultrasound, I'll be 19 weeks and 5 days,
I mean that is seriously almost 20 weeks.
and I. CAN. NOT. WAIT.

Now to talk about pink or blue.
I honestly (truly truly) will be so unbelievably happy either way!
Everyone around us seems to think PINK,
but not sure if that's just because we have 2 boys or because they truly have a strong feeling!

Case is 100% BOY.
Rhett changes with the wind.
Daddy thinks BOY.
Mommy has no earthly idea.

I think it would be so fun and exciting to hear the ultrasound technician announce,
"It's a girl!"
I love the idea of having a daughter,
I know Matt would be absolutely wrapped around her little finger,
and I imagine her wedding, and having babies, and her needing me in a way I know the boys won't later on in life.
The boys will need me but not in the same way.
however,
I love my crazy, dirty, silly boys, and could completely imagine our lives
with 3 sport playin', dirty, stinky, precious, sweet boys.
There is something so special in a bond between boys and their Mommas.
I love me some boys, and would be one happy girl being surrounded by a bunch of 'em.

We shall see, 50/50 shot right??
Let the countdown begin.

 {17 weeks}

13 week check up!

It sounds SO good to say,
"This is my last week of my first trimester!"

However, if baby would start treating me like I'm in my second trimester,
that would be greeeaaat. ;)
Little baby in there is still making this Momma sick.
I'm usually very good in the mornings,
normal energy, go, go, go
then around 4-5pm I start crashing.
Belly starts hurting,
nausea, horrible taste in my mouth comes back,
been getting sick almost every night.
Appetite is back for the most part,
but it seems baby doesn't seem like to like a lot of things I feed him/her.
Which is not nice, because I crave things, only to throw them up.
It's not a very fun cycle!

I feel like I can see the light at the end of the tunnel though,
it's nothing like the very beginning,
I am actually cleaning, and doing laundry again! Ha!
Energy is back for most of the day,
just exhausted and very blah in the evenings.
My sweet husband has been amazing.
I have been so emotional about feeling so bad,
and feeling like I am putting all the responsibilities on him in the evenings.
I have nightly melt downs about being sick and tired
or feeling sick and tired!

HOWEVER,
enough complaining about the not so pretty side of pregnancy,
and on to the check up!

Matt didn't go with me this time,
as it was just a routine check up.
Mommom & Grand-Dad came to the house to watch the boys for me,
When I arrived, I was informed he was actually delivering a baby,
and should be back in about an hour!
He was actually back in about 1/2 an hour,
so came back and got my vitals checked etc.

He had a PA student with him, who was going to check baby's heart beat.
Now, let me first say,
Dr. Y is sort of intimidating,
I can always sense the nervousness and absolute terror some of his students have around him!
This girl was one of them.

She put the gel on the Doppler,
and put it on my belly, right under my belly button.
She could only find my heartbeat for a minute or so.
I think Dr. Y could sense a little fear rising on my part,
I was getting anxious to hear that quick thump, thump, thump of my baby's heartbeat.
Dr.Y kept saying,
"That's maternal heartbeat."
"Still maternal heartbeat."
"Find her pelvic bone, you are way too high."
"That's still maternal?" she asks nervously...
"Yes."
"Look, her pelvic bone is WAY down here."
"Oh.."

thumpthumpthumpthumpthumpthump

There's that precious sound.
Bless her heart, I know she was nervous,
but it was a scary couple of minutes for this Momma.

Heartbeat was a healthy 165.
...and he also said the chance of miscarriage go down significantly at this point.
Which I always love hearing.

However, we found out, that the ultrasound office is no longer doing gender reveal ultrasounds as of December 1st, which means our hopes of finding out the gender before Christmas, are not going to happen! It was only $50 there, as opposed to the $99 at the spa places around town, which we are just not willing to pay.
Sooo, we'll be patient and wait for that 20 week ultrasound around January 13th. :)
Will be something to look forward to after Christmas!

Next check up is middle of December, I'll be 16 weeks.
It's starting to go a little faster now!
I think the business of the holidays are helping with that! :)

I'll be 14 weeks on Monday, December 2nd...
HELLO 2nd TRIMESTER!

Sweet Baby

According to all the dates, and calculations,
we were all set for June 5,2014 as baby's due date!

Which was so exciting, as we have lots of June babies in our family!
Daddy is June 2, my big brother Ryan is June 8, my big sister Amy is June 17,
and Amy's daughter Avery is June 6th, just a day away from expected date!

We joked a lot about how close the due date was to Avery's birthday,
if you know Amy and I, you know we are freakishly alike,
so many random little things in our lives, but the big things too,
like we both got married at 20, have 2 boys right around 2 years apart, and as you know,
she had a daughter next.
So the bets around the family is that I'll have a girl just like her,
especially with the due date being ridiculously close to her daughter's birthday!
Too funny!

Well, after weeks of pretty vicious morning sickness,
(more like all day, and especially evening sickness)
SO very nauseous, and if I was lucky I would get sick and get a little relief.
Completely exhausted, achy, a constant horrible taste in my mouth,
first trimesters are loads of fun! Ha!
So, I was excited for a Doctor's appointment,
to at least get to see that sweet baby in my belly
that was making me so miserable. ;)

I've said it before, but there is just something about seeing that baby,
and getting real confirmation from a Doctor to help it feel a little more real.
Matt took off work and met me at the hospital,
after I dropped the boys off at Mommom & Grand-dad's house.

We had the ultrasound first, and then were supposed to head over to my Doctor.
I forgot about the fact that Matt and I have new insurance,
as he got a new job this year, so we had to go to the business office first.
We had to wait FOREVER as they had to contact our insurance,
and as I'm sure you know, that means a lot of being put on hold.
I was so antsy as I was just dying to get into that ultrasound room!
Well about 30-45 minutes later, we finished that all up,
(found out it will be relatively cheaper this go around, thank you insurance!)
and walked back to the ultrasound room...

The technician was SO sweet,
even came to check on us while we were waiting in the business office.
It makes such a difference when they are so loving.
Well a few minutes later,
we saw a wiggly, healthy baby on that screen!

I swear I could have sat in that ultrasound room all day and watched that baby wiggle around.
It's one of the most precious things on this earth.

Baby had a strong heart beat, 176 I believe, and we got a few pictures printed out.
Then it was off to my Doctors office for the bag full of prenatal samples and coupons.
Doctor Youkilis was so congratulatory and sweet.
He asked me about due dates, and we mentioned according to due date it was June 5th.

"How about your cycles, are they normal?"
"Well, they are little bit off, I think the average is about 30-31 days"
"Hmm, that makes it June 9th, as a due date..."
"What?? Nooo, I like June 5th better, ha!"
"Well, hang on, I was going to say how about June 2, that's what your ultrasound was measuring..."
"Ohh yeah I like that one! That's Daddy's birthday too!"
The PA Student in the room: "Due date, June 2nd, per patient request!"

LOL!

I had to write that conversation down, they were cracking up at me,
but you better believe after finding out extremely early I wasn't going to go back a few days without a fight, thankful that ultrasound was measuring a little bigger, because that bumped me up to 9 weeks!
Ha! But seriously, we know due dates are just a guess,
babies come will come out when they are ready. :)
(Remind me of this, as I was very impatient with the Rhetter man!)

So after making the next appointment, and the lab work,
we headed out, staring at our sweet baby the whole time in the elevator.

This was also the day we were going to announce to friends and extended family on Facebook.
We wanted to wait until after the first Doctor's appointment.

Matt headed back to work, and I headed back to my Mom & Dad's to get the boys.
I couldn't wait to show them picture of baby,
and before I left I posted our Announcement picture online.
(Shauna Doty took these for us the week before, we couldn't wait to share the news!)

I ended up taking my rowdy boys to the park near Mom and Dad's that day.
As I was feeling pretty good, and I knew how much they needed to run and play.
Their Momma had been pretty bed or couch ridden lately,
and it was nice to get out and about on a beautiful & exciting day!

Our wonderful visit, rejuvenated me with excitement all over again.
So ecstatic (and a little nervous!) about our growing family!
Sometimes it still doesn't feel real!

GUESS WHAT!

WE ARE EXPECTING BABY #3!!!
HEE!!!

Holy cow!

You might have to move your screen around a little to see that faint line,
this one was taken late Friday, September 20.
The night before Case's 5th birthday party.
It was a little early to take one,
about 7 days too early to take a test.
I had it in my head though, that an early response MIGHT show me IF I was...
WELL...
It DID, and I WAS!
I took a test upstairs, with Matt downstairs watching TV,
honestly thinking nothing would show up,
well I saw that very light, barely there line,
and debated by myself for about 5 minutes if there was actually anything there,
or if my eyes were just making things up.
I came downstairs, and said,
"Matt. Come here, look at this."
He was not convinced, which I guess proved how
convinced I actually was, because I started saying things like,
"What?! How can you not see it?"
"Look! There's a line there, it's faint but it's there!"
"Babe! There wouldn't be ANYTHING there if I wasn't, it's a PH test!"
He said,
"I just don't want to get all excited, in case it's not!"

Sooo we ran upstairs, since I had another test,
and I did what anyone with a big sister would do...
I texted a picture of the test to Amy! :)
Her and her hubby agreed that there was DEFINTELY something there,
and after taking the 2nd test, (after I chugged 2 glasses of water)
and there was another faint line, Matt and I let ourselves really, REALLY believe it.
(Which by the way is just surprising, they tell you to take early tests first thing in the morning,
and not after you drink a lot of water...but that line was still showing up!)

AHH!!!
:)

Matt and I stayed up for HOURS laughing, and talking about how exciting (and sort of scary!) this whole expecting baby number 3 is!

I finally had to take a Benadryl so I could fall asleep!
(After checking to make sure my preggo self could take that, you forget so much!)
After all, we had a big 5th birthday party to celebrate the next day!

So the next morning, before getting ready for the party, I took the last pregnancy test I had,
which happened to be a Clear Blue Digital one.
There is just something about actually reading the words,
"Pregnant" or "Not Pregnant" instead of deciding if you see a line or not.

Well guess what,
after that 3 minute timer stopped flashing on the screen,
we read the undeniable,
"Pregnant"

:)

That morning after the boys were up and going, we sat them down and filmed them,
as we told them our big news!

Cracks me up, especially Case's "Not yeeet!" Sorry buddy!
Rhett was pretty interested in finishing his milk before talking about it. ;)
Also, if you look at Rhett's fingers, he's imitating me showing them how itty bity baby is, ha!

A lot of what Matt and I talked about the night before,
was about whether or not we were going to go ahead and tell everyone,
since we were going to have most of our immediate family over the next day.

Turns out we can't keep our mouths shut,
so we told Case, that he could tell everyone the big news on his big day.
(We wanted to make sure he was a part of it,
and still felt extremely special on his big birthday!)

So as soon as all of the presents were open,
I whispered in Case's ear,
"Okay buddy, you want to tell everyone our big news about baby?"
He didn't miss a beat, and shouted while jumping up and down,

"Mommy has a baby in her belly!!!"

I quickly snapped some pictures of everyone's faces,
I wish I had caught it on tape though!
Love the priceless faces though!

We had a great time celebrating Case's birthday,
and were excited to share the news with everyone!
We called my big brother and his wife, and Roger's daughter's that afternoon!

We are definitely not very good at keeping secrets!

Turns out, we found out VERY early,
I was only 3 weeks and a few days pregnant, when we found out,
baby didn't even look like a tadpole yet!

So even though, this might feel like the longest pregnancy ever,
we are so very excited to start this journey,
and add this precious baby to our family!
